Cultural & Community Projects with Vice

As I'm finishing up a large project with VICE Media I've been looking through other Vice projects that I loved, but didn't share yet. I'd forgotten the scene in the first photo, but as soon as I saw it, I remembered it as one of those moments that “reminds you why you do it”.

We were running an activation at Tommy Hilfiger to highlight sustainability with conversations around re-use. The three young POC came up, and we invited them to join our upcycling embroidery workshop. They had never done embroidery before but loved it and stayed for ages. They went on to tell us that they were made to feel uncomfortable in the other stores on Ku'dam and even asked to leave one store (yes, racial politics in Germany can be very questionable). But here they are having the time of their lives with a new experience, and we found them totally charming!

Thank you, VICE Media for the interesting projects, especially the ones around community and culture. It's great to work in a corner of the experiential sphere that matches my values.
